A second life, after the sea.
Every Teu Living home began as a working shipping container — stacked on cargo decks, weathered by salt and sun, carrying the world's goods from port to port. When their voyages ended, ours began.
Since 2018 we've given these travelled steel boxes a new purpose in Lapa, São Paulo: compact, light-filled homes wrapped in green. Nothing wasted, everything considered. Less is more — that has been our compass from the start.
This isn't a story we tell from the outside. For three years — right through the pandemic — our own family lived here, each of our teenagers with a container of their own to sleep in. Together, and apart.

A working life
Built to cross oceans, these containers carried cargo across continents for years before retiring from the water.
Made a home
Insulated, finished and furnished by hand — each steel shell becomes a calm, modern loft that holds the warmth of a real home.
Your stay
Now they welcome guests from all over the world to Lapa — green, walkable and minutes from the city's heart.
